Treatments
Treatment modalities
Each modality is selected and combined based on the individual’s presentation. Below is an overview of techniques offered.
Acupuncture
Fine, sterile single-use needles inserted at specific points to support the body’s own regulatory mechanisms. Techniques offered include abdominal needling, the balancing method, cutaneous needling, auricular (ear) therapy, bleeding therapy, and plum-blossom needling.
Chinese herbal medicine
Individualised herbal formulas prescribed and dispensed on site. Formulas are adjusted across visits as the clinical picture evolves.
Moxibustion
The warming application of mugwort (Artemisia) over selected points or areas, traditionally used to warm channels and support circulation.
Cupping
Flash cupping, sliding (moving) cupping, and ironing methods. The technique is selected based on the area being treated and the clinical aim.
Gua sha
A traditional scraping technique applied with a smooth-edged tool, used to address localised tension and support circulation in superficial layers.
Cosmetic acupuncture
A gentle facial acupuncture approach drawing on TCM theory. As with any acupuncture, individual responses vary and treatment is tailored to the person.
Treatment choices are made in consultation. Not every modality is appropriate for every person or condition — your practitioner will discuss what is suitable for you.
